Hi all, I'm trying to gather good smoothie recipes...any suggestions? I love going to Jamba Juice, but at $5 a pop, its sooso expensive. I'd love to replicate them at home.

Here's my simple strawberry smoothie recipe:
Mix together 3 strawberries, 1 c. lowfat milk, 1 c. vanilla yogurt, 1 tablespoon of sugar (or honey). Blend together --- its fabulously yummy. And you get alot of calcium in one cup!

I start with some orange juice on the bottom (enough to cover the blades), then a banana, a whole apple (cored, but with the peel left on), some frozen peaches, frozen strawberries, a bunch of ice cubes, and then a generous "blob" of vanilla yogurt (or plain). I sometimes throw in some wheat germ too, and a splash of vanilla if I used plain yogurt. I have a Vita Mix, so everything comes out really smooth and SOOO good!

Here's a pitch for my favorite smoothie, which is a variation on CL's Banana-Mango Smoothie: a handful of frozen berries (straw-, blue-, black-, and rasp-), 1/2 cup of skim milk, a ripe banana, a teaspoon of honey, a teaspoon of vanilla, and a scoop of protein powder. It's great for before or after workouts, or even for a quick breakfast when I'm in a hurry to get out the door.

I like to use a banana, frozen strawberries, and equal parts orange juice and vanilla soy milk.

I don't know if I posted this on another thread but I've been mixing (in the blender) 1 8-oz. tub of 'lite' yogurt (pina colada or key lime) with two kiwis and a banana. Then, I thin it to the desired consistency with milk. I plan to add strawberries and I've bought a mango yogurt so I may add oranges to that.
