Help!! I just realized that it's the birthday of one of my co-workers. The guy who was supposed to bring the goodies for this party is out on paternity leave and I'm going to bring in cheesecake tomorrow. Does anyone have some good (easy and quick) toppings? I have strawberries at home but can stop at the grocery to get some other fruit and ingredients. Thanks in advance.

I'm known around my little circle of family and friends for bringing cheesecakes to parties, and they always know they're lowfat based, so there's little guilt with me walking through the door. Matt posted a Chocolate Mint Cheesecake a few months back (in the BB search its 'Chocolatemint cheesecake'). I use that recipe and then modify the 'extra' to my heart's content. Instead of the Andes Mints, which went over really well, I have used chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Snickers, and once I even chopped Frozen Butterfingers. These candies are baked into the cheesecake, but then I always save a 1/4 cup or so to garnish. I heat some Dove Chocolate Ice Cream Topping and drizzle it over the top first, then sprinkle the reserved 1/4 cup of whichever candy I've used. Always gets a rave review wherever I end up taking it!
However if you're set on fruit, think about whatever berry is in season around your area! Raspberries, blueberries, I've even used blackberries from that pesky vine on the side of my house! YUM!
