Does anyone have a recipe for banana cheesecake? I had a slice at the Cheesecake Factory this weekend, and it was delicious. It was very creamy. Of course, a light recipe would be wonderful, but I'll take anything you've got!

thanks,

mlynn

Here's one, although I have never made it. Looks low fat.

Sugarless Banana Cheesecake

Ingredients

2 eggs
1 cup low-fat yogurt
1 cup fat-free cottage cheese
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 Tbs. honey
1/2 tsp. salt
2 pkg. sugar substitute
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1 tsp. grated lemon
Non-fat cooking spray
2 bananas

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°. Beat eggs lightly. Add yogurt, cottage cheese, vanilla, & honey. Mix well. Combine salt, sugar substitute & flour. Add to mixture. Add grated lemon rind & grated orange rind. Spray a 9-inch pie pan with cooking spray & pour batter into pan. Bake 25 minutes or until done. Chill well. Slice bananas on top. Other Fresh fruit may be used in place of bananas.

Here's a web site for Banana Cheesecake, or any other kind of cheesecake you want! Sorry, most are the full fat version!

Here's an oldie-but-goodie from our archives. Not your conventional cheesecake banana cheesecake, perhaps, but a "Nawlins" slant:

I actually must recommend the Bananas Foster cheesecake! I made this recipe for a dinner party a while back and it was a hit with all of my guests -- creamy and full of banana flavor.

The one change I did make is to use my own rum sauce recipe, rather than the "spruced up" caramel topping they suggest.

Good luck! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I made the Banana Foster Cheesecake from epicurious last night for a neighborhood party we held.

The cheesecake is very rich and doesn't taste lowfat. The cinnamon is a little heavy and probably should be cut down a little. My crust came out a little soggy, so perhaps softened butter, instead of melted butter for the crust and I should have baked the crust a few minutes before adding the filling.

The caramel sauce was good. I added 2 TBSP
of banana rum to the caramel.

For a light cheesecake-very good. My favorites to date are the English Toffee Cheesecake and the Orange Mocha Cheesecake (sorry not lowfat-13 WW points per slice).
