View Full Version : For MarciaTJ: Girl's Luncheon Drink's
Hi,
I'll have to start a new thread on this, because the original thread won't let me "post a reply" (also, the last recipe is cut off...anyone else having this problem?)
Anyway, I was going to post a reply regarding drink ideas....I got my issue of "Hometown Cooking" yesterday and there are "tried & true" Party Punch recipes. I'll tell you what they are, and you (or anyone else) can let me know if you're interested in any and I'll post them later (assuming the board will be working today)
Coffee Frappe
Strawberry Cheesecake Punch
Wedding Punch
Fluffy Pink Punch
Champangne Blossom Punch
(Only the last one is alcoholic)

Lilia, I would be interested in the Champagne Blossom Punch. I am hosting a Wedding shower luncheon in 2 weeks, and would like to serve a champagne punch, but havn't found a recipe I'm crazy about yet. Thanks!
Here's the recipe. I should clarify something first. I haven't tried these recipes myself, they were in the "tried & true" section of the cookbook. So, someone out there likes it, but it may not be me (or you). Even if you don't like the recipe, the idea for the decorative ice cubes and/or ice ring may interest you for whatever you end up doing. I deleted the "nutritional info" because Mastercook didn't recognize all the ingredients....the magazine lists it as "132cal/serving" (10 6-ounce servings)

Serving Ideas : See "Notes" for how to make decorative ice cubes and rings.
NOTES : Fruit filled ice cubes (or rings) will keep punch coll and pretty: Pour water into ice cube trays (or desired mold), just until the ice cube section (or mold) is about 1/3 full. Freeze completely. Top cubes with small pieces of fruit, such as blueberries, small strawberry halves, or tine lemon, orange, or lime wedges. (For ice ring, arrange whole berries or slices of fruit in the mold). Pour in a small amount of water; refreeze. When fruit is fozen, add water to fill ice cube sections (or mold); freeze until firm.
