I love Asiago Cheese, but did not like this bread. I did make croutons out of it, and they were better than the bread!
Sandy M, I don't remember it being a larger loaf, so it proabably is a 1 or 1 1/2 lb size.

I did the crouton thing, too, funnybone. My husband declared them to be the best croutons he had ever tasted.
I loved the bread, fresh from the bread machine too.

Has anyone made this bread without the bread machine?? I'm guessing I could knead it myself and then bake it in the oven. Any suggestions would be helpful!

In my search for the recipe I did find that someone had made it by hand. I'm sure if you search you can find any suggestions. I made the bread today, it is just finishing in the machine and smells heavenly, can't wait to try it.

Just wanted to mention I also made this bread, and it got positive reviews. But I was making it to bring to a party, and was nervous that it might not turn out. So, in addition to the bread, I also took some frozen bread dough, cut it into sections, rolled each section in a mixture of the Asiago cheese, pepper and green onions. Then I wrapped the sections around and around my finger to make a roll, and baked. These turned out wonderful...better than the bread, in my opinion. Just an option for those with leftover ingredients from making the bread! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
