It's dark here in the piney woods where I live, and all the fireflies are out! My pine trees look like they're decorated with christmas lights!

It is the second day of summer and it hit 96 here....ugh! It's not even July or August yet!!

Your post brought back happy memories. We do not have fireflies in the arid west. I saw them as a child on visits to the southeast, and in 1994, when my DH and I did our "great eastern tour." One evening in a campground, I called to DH to come outside and see the fireflies. He was amazed as he had never seen them before.
