I want to make the Stir-fried Chicken and Broccoli with Black Bean Sauce tomorrow night. My problem is I can only find Black Bean Garlic Sauce at the stores. Is this the same thing or is there also a plain black bean sauce? http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/confused.gif Please advise!

Peggy - I recently bought KAME Black Bean Sauce that is not a garlic one but added garlic to the sauce I was making anyway. There is such a thing as plain bean sauce but I am sure the garlic one would work well too.

Peggy,

Black bean garlic sauce will work fine. It's what I always use. I think it's just a little more garlicky than regular black bean sauce, which generally has garlic in it anyway.

Thank you all for the help! After going to three stores, I went ahead and bought the Black Bean Garlic Sauce in the hopes that it would be OK. Now I can use it with confidence! Can't wait to make the recipe tomorrow!
