My HP printer has gone beserk. I always have it set to print in Black and white, and in Draft, to save ink. Also on Portrait (up and down). Every now and then I might use color, or Landscape, but then I just go back to the usual settings.
But now, it is "stuck" on Color and Landscape, even when I change the settings and hit "Apply". This is true if I am printing off emails, or Web sites. I have to individually check the Preferences box every time I want to print anything, and it is so annoying!

Any ideas how to fix this?

I would try re-installing the printer driver. Do you know how to do that?

No, but maybe DH does. Is it some software that we might have lying around that came with the printer?

Yes, you should have a disk that came with the printer that would help you re-install it or if you don't have that Windows most likely already has the driver for your printer (I'm assuming it's not all that old?) as part of Windows (meaning you wouldn't need the disk). It's really easy to install a local printer. If your husband doesn't know how let me know and I'll be happy to try and step you through it. Good luck with it.

Or, if you can't find the disc, go to the HP website and you may be able to download the driver from there.
GOOD LUCK!
