ISO tried and true pickled carrot recipes

A co-worker asked me if I have a good pickled carrot recipe, but I have never even tried pickled carrots. Does anyone have a pickled carrot recipe that they have tried and like? I would love to hear from you!

I made some last December that were easy and good...I'll have to dig out the recipe (I found it on Epicurious).

I've made these (http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/cooking/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_12384,00.html) before. Alton Brown's firecracker carrots. Tasty and a bit spicy too.
