I have a cilantro plant which seems to have "bolted" and so I am wondering if it is okay to use or should I throw it out? Or, can you just cut off the flower part and use the rest? Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, after cilantro has bolted, that is pretty much it for the plant. If you want cilantro all season, you have to plant it by staggering the times that you plant the plants so that you will always have it on hand.

I hope this helps.

You absolutely can cut off the flower part and use the rest. I do it all the time. But Karen's right that the plant has pretty much had it now as far as growing any good leaves from this point on. You do need to plant a new plant every couple of weeks.

Which reminds me - I need a new one myself..... :D
