Happy Birthday everyone!

Javajulie - the women in my family are infamous (much to our DH's dismay) for holding over our birthdays way past our day. My son's, who's birthday is 8/2, is following in our footsteps. He is keeping careful track of everyone to make sure we don't miss his. We're doing his party on 7/30 am at a local place for kids, then a celebration at my parents' on 7/31, then cupcakes or something on 8/2, followed by something at night. He's a quick learner! :D

I'm vacationing at my parent's beach house on the Cape and woke up early this morning. I thought I'd take some coffee out on the porch and watch the sun rise over the water. Imagine my surprise when I opened the door and almost stepped on a ginormous king snake!:eek: I actually think snakes are very cool, but I admit I prefer to have shoes on when one's around! Luckily he scooted off quickly. My mother is thoroughly petrified of them, and I am telling myself that I can never ever mention this to her. Ever. So I'm telling you all instead!:o Hopefully the rest of my birthday is less, um, startling. Thanks again. :)
