We had a cookout Saturday and have a dozen or so leftover cooked hamburgers and cheeseburgers. I have lots of ideas for the leftover chicken breasts, but I've never really tried to do anything with hamburgers.

I also have about 6 hot dogs but I can't imagine having any use for them other than to reheat and eat as hot dogs.

Anyone out there feeling creative and have some ideas? :)

Chop up the hamburgers and add to spaghetti sauce to make a meat sauce for pasta. That's all I can think of.

I don't have any recipes, but a few ideas for your hamburgers.

-crumbled up and mixed with the appropriate sauce to make sloppy joes, chili, or a meat sauce for pasta
-a topping for nachos
-a pizza topping
-hash

As for the hot dogs, I love leftover grilled dogs cold from the fridge with various condiments, but you could also make chili dogs, or slice them and mix them into baked beans or mac 'n cheese.

Hope your party went well!

Wendy's uses their leftover hamburgers in their chili. But as hot as it is here, I can't imagine eating a bowl of chili! Why not just freeze them and then get them out the next time you want hamburgers?

I have a recipe we always liked for "Hawaiian" Beans 'n Franks- basically beanie wienie with pineapple. It would take care of your leftover hot dogs! Let me know if you want me to post it.

aside from the suggestions you already received, I would suggest crumbling the hamburgers and making a sheppards pie.

Leftover cheeseburgers always get eaten as cheeseburgers in our house. (even for breakfast). You could freeze them.
We have a local breakfast restaurant that featured 4th of July omelets...some had chopped up burgers in them, others hotdogs.

I have made open faced hamberger sandwiches with them. take the frozen garlic bread, cook according to directions. In a grill pan, re-heat the burgers and add thick slices of red onion. Heat till heated through. Put burger on bread top with onion on top of that top it with slice of pepper jack. You might want to use some kind of condiment between the bread and the burger. You need a big mouth for this! As for the hot dogs, Every Italian (this week-end) she made a potato salad with cooked hot dogs in it. Really sounded good.

Steak & Ale served a dish called "Mish Mash" at lunch - a grilled hamburger patty, topped with chopped tomatoes, thinly sliced green onions, grated Cheddar cheese. This is one of our favorite carb-lite meals, served with the cauliflower "potatoes".
