I tried a new recipe for split pea soup tonight. The recipe said that I could use yellow or green split peas. I was wondering if there was any significant taste difference or not. I chose the green because of it presented better...purely asthetic.
I hope somebody can help me.

I just used yellow for the first time (dip in the April issue; excellent). Although I've never made soup with them, I would say they would probably taste about the same. But I think I like the green color better for soups and the yellow better for dips!
