I was wondering if anybody from this board shops from QVC for kitchen supplies? I do have some of their Cooks Essential pots. Has anybody ever ordered their food products that they feature? The crabcakes from Cheseapeake are great! I'm just curious if others like QVC at all for anything cooking or food related.

The Cooks Essentials cookware is great. I have a 10-piece set. This is the only nonstick cookware (that I know of) that allows you to use metal utensils. I use metal whisks and spatulas and spoons in my Cooks Essentials pots and pans all the time and the cookware is still like new after about a year.
I have also tried the crab cakes. They are the best crab cakes I have ever had since there is so much crabmeat in each cake and since the flavoring is just right.
I don't get cable tv anymore, but I do shop from the QVC website from time to time.

I've never ordered food, but I have ordered kitchen supplies and have always received speedy delivery and a very correct order! Never had to return anything, so I'm not sure how easy their return policy is, but with the level of service received for the things I have received in the past, I would say that would probably go smoothly as well.
As a side note, I looked at the Cooks Essentials cookware, and ultimately decided to go with an HSN (Home Shopping Network) product called 'Ultrex' which also features a nonstick coating called 'Excalibur'. I can use metal utensils and it conducts heat VERY evenly. My only gripe about the cookware is minimal, but I have to have something to gripe about! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif All three of my saucepans, from the one quart to the three quart have completely straight up-and-down sides, so they have a very tight corner where the bottom meets the sides in the pot. I'm used to a simple (cheap) set of Wearever pans that have rounded bottoms. When I'm cooking a roux or slurry, blending flour into butter or milk and 'stirring constantly' it's much harder to get a spoon into that tight area at the edge of the pan to mix all the flour. Easier when those sides are rounded! Oh well, you can't have everything...I just make sure when cooking a roux I use one of my older pans! Other than that I love the cookware, and was also pleased with the service from HSN. I buy from both networks, obviously depending on the item! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif
