This is from the August 2005 magazine & I have not seen it reviewed yet, so here goes!

On the CL Scale of 1-5 stars, it gets 3 stars = good solid recipe.

I am not a huge fan of sweet things in my chicken salad, but decided to try it to get outside my comfort zone. It grows on you as you eat it! I served in on some wheat bread. It was a nice change and easy to throw together. It was also quite a good size serving at 1 cup! Not something I would make all the time, but not bad either! :)

PS: I should add - I used a regular roasted chicken not the one called for in the recipe....

I made this last night too, and I also had some leftover roasted chicken. My husband liked it, so for him probably a 4 on a scale of 5. I agree it was a 3 for me, but I think that is because I don't really like my Penzy's curry blend, which I hadn't tried until now (Maharajah Curry Powder). This curry has saffron in it, and I finally realized that was the flavor that was off to me.

I also wished this salad had nuts in it. I liked the fruit, however. I also wondered if a bit of nonfat sourcream subbed for some of the mayo would jazz it up. It seemed to need a tart counterpart.

I guess it is back to Penzy's for another blend!
