has anyone made this? I forgot to get to the salt free butter at the store and can you use salted butter. Any tips would be great. Thnks Matt

Yes, we really liked it. We used a cast-iron skillet and it really browned the bottom and they came out looking lovely. I used salted butter and the salt and they turned out fine for our taste anyway.

My husband declared this the best potato dish I've ever made him (and he LOVES his potatoes!!)

I'm making them for Mother's Day, for CL Supper Club next week, and they will become a staple around here. Enjoy.

Hi, Matt. I made this last weekend. It was really good. Since you don't have unsalted butter, you might want to leave out the kosher salt. Also, make sure that your skillet is truly oven-proof. This is definitely worth making.
