View Full Version : Woohoo! I'm done!

After embarking on a journey to a new career that involved going back to school (teacher certification), I am proud to say I am finished! Today was graduation (didn't go; been there done that). More exciting to me is that I am receiving my Masters of Education in Special Education with a 4.0. I know in the overall scheme of things, GPA doesn't matter squat. But, the competetive side of me is very glad to have pulled it off--3rd degree, first time I've done that. I received a very nice email from the professor in the toughest class I've had. I was stressing over a paper I wrote and I got a 99. I wrote 85% of it the morning before it was due (as in early morning hours). :D Huge relief...

Anyhow, this is my 2nd year teaching, I'm done with school, I'm certified, I'm 'highly qualified', I'm happy!

Just wanted to share...

Congrats! I understand not going to the graduation -- I wouldn't have gone the second time around if my parents hadn't said they were both going to be there whether I was or not. :rolleyes:

Great job, and those last 2 words are what count the most. :)

Good for you! I enjoyed my Masters' Program (as a reading specialist), but there is no question that the sigh of relief is HUGE when a graduate program is over!

Hope you have a few days to recover before school starts --

Well...teachers in my district started 2 weeks ago and I started the week before that as I had cheer camp (I'm one of 3 school sponsors). So, the last few weeks have been hectic to say the least as I've also done about 70% of my coursework for my last 2 classes in this same time frame! Now I can at least concentrate 100% on the most important tasks on hand--'my' kids!

Congratulations! That is a wonderful achievement with excellent results. Your kids are certainly very fortunate to have you.
