Coffee Roastwas delicious!! I halved the recipe, did cut out a lot of the fat from the roast, and added 4 instead of 2 garlic cloves. (Oh, and I flipped it twice during the 6-7 hour cook time, even though it was less meat, I stuck with the 6 hours.}It really made the house so fragrant!
Jewel Thank you for such a wonderfully easy but flavorful recipe! A definite keeper!! You will have to try it when you are up and about - or it is one your mom could make while you are recuperating!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Susan, thanks so much for trying this one first! I definitely want to try this one now! What cut of beef did you use? I made my Mushroom Beef in the crockpot on Friday, and I had bought 5 lbs of Chuck Roast, but only ended up with two and a half pounds of meat. The rest was big 'ol slabs of fat. Great flavor, but what a waste! I'd love to know if you used chuck or sirloin! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Jewel, chuck roast- but boy did I hack at it to get most of the fat off. Would sirloin work? I don't know but as you said, there sure is a lot of fat on a chuck roast!!
Best wishes tomorrow, thinking of you!!
