Can I slow the ripening process of bartlett pears by placing the in the frig?

I bought some pears yesterday for a salad I'm
serving at a dinner party here on Friday. Well,
today I noticed they are ripening rapidly. I need to
slow them down until Friday. Thank you.

the fridge will slow down the ripening process, I do it all of the time with fruit.
