View Full Version : Mediterranean Spaghetti vs. Spaghetti Pie
I believe this topic was posted a while back, but I wanted to give my opinion now that I have finally tried them both. I wasn't impressed with the Spaghetti Pie at all. I made the Mediterranean Spaghetti tonight and LOVED it! The cinnamon and nutmeg in this dish are a nice twist. The only changes I made were using whole wheat spaghetti and reduced fat feta cheese. In my opinion, the Mediterranean Spaghetti is the winner of these two recipes!

This shows how everyone's taste is different. Spag. pie is one of my favorite's and my DH and I didn't like the med. pie at all. And I'm not a picky eater. I didn't like the cin. nutmeg taste in my pasta!

We liked Spaghettie Pie very much, but loved the Mediterranean Spaghetti! It was definitely different, that was it's biggest advantage.

After all the good reviews, I tried the Spaghetti Pie and it was too "Hamburger Helperish" for my tastes. The Mediterranean Spaghetti is on my oh so very long to try list.

I like both recipes. The Mediterranean Spaghetti is basically just a variation on the Greek dish pastitsio. The Spaghetti pie is a little easier of the two recipes. I think they're both keepers.
