Does anyone collect & use the Betty Crocker Points? I don't have many points collected so far but, I was just wondering if anyone can shed any light on how the BC points work. I looked through their web site and all I can find is using the points for free shipping. I thought the points could be used for discounts on merchandise (the little points piece states "save 25-75% on brand name kitchen products").

Do you have to go through the checkout process before you can see how many points to use and to see how much of a discount you'll get?

I haven't looked at the website, but if you look at a catalog, it has the different prices for no coupons vs. coupons. I'm sure you can call and order a catalog. I have used them before, but I'm not positive it's that good of a deal to order from there using coupons vs. getting the item somewhere else on sale...if you use their flatware, maybe that is something that you can get a good deal on, and not all of the patterns are available in stores.

My mother orders her Fiestaware from their catalogue, and she always gets the lowest price, but nobody ever asked her for her points (which she doesn't have!).

I was wondering the same thing. I have a catalog and it lists 2 prices, but doesn't say anything about points except for the shipping. It even has an envelope to send the points in.

I just got a catalog the other day, and it was different than all the previous catalogs I've gotten. In this one, each item had only one price! Instead of a price for using points, and one for not doing so. And they did only say, re: points, that you could use them for free shipping. So I was confused too- by this change. I guess maybe they are changing their system.
FWIW, I agree with Meganator's assessment of the prices, and also with her and Angelina, in that perhaps the prices aren't always great, but if you wanted something that they have a great selection of (flatware, Fiestaware, etc.) that would be a reason they might be a good place to shop.

Thanks for the info. I've never collected the points but, noticed them the other day and wondered about them. I just thought that, if I'm buy the food with the points on them and these points can turn into $$ off of some items I need, it might be a good idea to collect them.

I'll keep an eye out on their website and maybe order their catalog. Maybe they'll have a good deal one of these days.

Thanks again!
