It's on Page 198 of the May '01 issue.

We made this yesterday for Mother's Day (my first mind you but I still was cooking). My parents & my sister, her husband and my nephew came to our house for the day. The Apple-Ginger Sauce was EXCELLENT!! When everyone heard what was in the sauce at first (apple jelly, cider vinegar, red crushed pepper, ginger, garlic, etc.) they turned up their noses a bit, but when it came time to eat everyone was pouring it on everything. We had a 2 1/2 lb. pork tenderloin and there was not a single piece left between the six adults!

I also served asparagus and wild rice as the sides and they were pouring the sauce on that too. So, I's say the review is quite good. I'll definitely make it again. And by the way, it makes more than you think . . . I only added a little extra vinegar and jelly (to use up the jar) and I had easily half of it leftover even after everyone was using so much of it.

Definitely worth a try!

You're welcome for the review! I forgot to add that it was SUPER EASY to prepare as well so I can't complain too much about being in the kitchen on Mother's Day :-)!

Our family had this for lunch today, and we all loved it, too. We really enjoyed the sauce on quick brown rice. I also served a salad. For dessert, strawberry shortcake. What a way to end a meal. . . .

By the way, I used peach jelly preserves rather than the apple jelly. It was an outstanding sauce.
