I'm looking to find a recipe for toffee. It consists of a bottom layer of saltines or ritz crackers, middle layer is a butter/sugar mixture, then chocolate chips are melted on top. I can't find the recipe with the exact measurements. Anyone have this? TIA

Found the Paula Deen recipe for Pine Bark and the ingredients match yours, could it be the recipe?

Bark Candy for non-candy makers--EASY!
Here's a fun recipe that the kids can help
with, and it's much tastier than you would
imagine.

Line a cookie sheet (actually, a jellyroll
pan, one with sides) with one layer of
saltine-type crackers--should take about 40
of them. Bring to a boil 1 cup of butter
and 1 cup of brown sugar over medium heat.
Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour
over the crackers and put in a 400 degree
oven for 5 minutes. Take out and sprinkle
with 2 cups of chocolate chips. Put back in
the oven for one minute. Take it out again
and spread the melted chocolate evenly.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts, if you like
(pecans are good) and stick in the freezer
for about an hour, until set. Break it up
like chocolate bark and enjoy. Store in the
freezer. This tastes wonderful and no one
would guess that saltines form the base.

These are excellent and so easy. You can use different flavors of chocolate and different nuts - any of them are delicious.
