I have just wrapped up six weeks on Body for Life. I really, really like it -- way more than I thought I would. But, the results are coming pretty slowly. I have lost 6.5 lbs, which I know is right on target (1lb/per week), but I can't help but think the weight should be coming off faster for the amount of work I am doing. I took measurements at the beginning, but haven't taken them again for fear of being disappointed!

I am mostly just wondering if the results I am seeing are pretty much on track, or if I need to think about tweaking the program for the second half. Any thoughts or experiences are appreciated! Thanks.

Have you used any of the other Body-For-Life measurement devices? How do your clothes feel? Can you notice the muscles in your arms yet when you brush your teeth? Do you feel stronger? Sounds like you have more energy. And you've lost 6.5 lbs! :D That's pretty good - especially if you're building muscle too.

My Dh did BFL a few years ago and the results were slow to come. However by the end of the 12 weeks he looked and felt great. Stick with it!! I am sure that you will be pleased.

I do it off and on.. I like the body-for-life tracker forums (The bodyforlife and eating for life webpages are guestbooks, not forums) but you can see people's progress on there.. I find that motivating

Progress is slow.. so I guess we both have to keep it up

And although the BFL book does NOT advocate counting calories I would suggest it for a week or two to see if maybe you are eating under or over your calories if you think you are plateauing

When I did it about three years ago, the first six weeks showed some, but not a whole lot of change. I really think if you keep it up, you will see some more dramatic changes during the second half - more so in the size of the clothes than necessarily pounds. Keep it up!!!!
