Avatar oddities

Is anyone else having trouble seeing some of the custom avatars? I can see certain ones but not others, and then it seems to reverse and I can see the ones I couldn't see at first, but not the ones I could originally see. (Sorry if that is very confusing!)

For example, in Chelle's post, I originally saw her custom avatar and commented on it. After I posted my comment, I couldn't see her avatar any more, but I could see my own. Then, when I went to comment again, her avatar popped up again, but my own became unavailable! Is this happening to anyone else?

Maybe I should go back to my CL grapes avatar for a while.... :rolleyes:

I'm having the same problem but, I haven't noticed if I've seen one person's avatar one minute and not the next. I've just noticed that there are little boxes with red Xs in them all over. Though, some people's avatars do show up. It just started in the last day or two for me.

Having the same problem here and it's driving me crazy. :eek:

I also wish they would bring back the area where we could change the wording under our avatar. :confused:

I went to my User CP and then Edit Avatar. My custom avatar link was missing!

So I found a new one....sorry, my monster is gone. *sniff*

Some are showing for me and some have the little red X. If you right click the X, go to properties, and copy and paste the web address into the browser, THEN the avatars show up for me. (but frankly that's a lot of work just to see a picture!!)

I can see almost none of them - just a little blue box with question mark in in it.

I can see most of them on this thread, except for swquilts and kristal. I haven't seen my own in awhile...

I don't have the little box with the "X", but it will say "Krystal's Avatar" If I click on it, I will go to her profile then if I hit the back button to the thread I was veiwing, the avatar appears. Weird.

I just tried that and it worked. On another thread, Grace mentioned right clicking on the avatar, then clicking 'show picture' until the avatar appears. It sometimes takes a few times before it works.

I'm still having the problem where one minute an avatar will be visible, and the next minute it's not. It's kind of distracting, but certainly not the end of the world! I just wonder why it's happening.

This is just weird.
on the posts without avatars showing, if you click on the box with the 'x" in it, it will take you to that person's profile. you can then back arrow to the thread and the avatar now is showing. other custom ones have been visible all along without doing anything. :confused: Just did it with DeeK's avatar.
