Someone mentioned viral marketing on another thread, so I thought I would post a link to some film clips that are probably viral marketing for the upcoming Serenity movie.

These will pretty much only make sense to you if you have seen the tv show Firefly.

Session 416 (http://www.session416.com/mirrors) is a website that has film clips of River being interviewed at her school.

Do you recognize the voice of the man interviewing her?

I just realized that more of an explanation might help. The clips were posted in various places on the internet over the past couple of weeks. The site I linked has listings of mirror sites, so you can look at the film clips using whatever media player you have. So you either want to look at one of the first links, called "all available" or you want to look at one of the links from each of the sessions.

At the moment I post this, there are four clips available (in the order they were released):

Session 416, second excerpt
Session 1, excerpt
Session 22, excerpt
Session 165, excerpt

Wow. Those were creepy! Thanks for posting. It was interesting (and sad) to see how normal River used to be, before they completely broke her mind...

Thanks for those links, Colleen. Hopefully I will have time to check them out later...

DH and I don't go out much but we've already scheduled my sister for babysitting for this movie. I'll go watch the clips when I'm in a more... private environment. I've been wondering how they were goign to do the movie so that it would make sense to "newbies" but appeal to those that have seen the series.

Oh, I've seen the movie. They do an excellent job of bringing newbies up to date without boring fans. I was stunned at how well they did it.

There is also a series of three comic books that link the end of the series with the beginning of the movie. I've read the first two, and the three together read like an episode of Firefly.
