Grace: WAY O/T but I have a new family member!!!

All this kennel talk has me compelled to tell you about my new family member. His name is Charlie, he's 8 weeks old and is most likely a border collie/cocker mix. He's white with black markings and freckles on his nose and front paws. My best friend bought him for me at a fundraiser for our Volunteer Fire Dept. He even came with a dog house! And he sleeps with Jolee, our 1 year old Australian shephard/blue heeler mix female.

HURRAY!! HURRAY!! HOW EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!

You must be thrilled. Congratulations. And he sounds absolutely adorable! And at eight weeks old, well, you can just eat them up! I'm very happy for you and for Jolee. She won't be lonely anymore (although there will be days when Charlie won't leave her alone and she'll wish she were lonely again!) I say that from experience with my own 3 yr old and her new "sister"!!

Gosh, I think I could get a new puppy every few months, I love them so much. Post a picture on the other board if you can, I'd love to see them both. Lanie sent me pictures of her two "babies", and they are so cute too. Impossible to be mad or unhappy when there's a puppy in the house! Ahhh, puppy breath, puppy fur, puppy kisses.....(I'm sick, I know!)

Thanks, Grace! And yes, I am completely dumfbounded by this generous gift (and then there is Richard, the cat guy!)! Jolee on the other hand has been trying out her motherly instincts and dear Charlie can't be bothered! There isn't enough skin at the back of his neck for Jolee to pick him up so he yelps all day long! And just when you think he's had enough mothering...in for the kill! Gotta love it! I do think about how Roxi would love this little guy! Will post a picture, asap!
