View Full Version : Review:Antipasto Lasagna
WOW! I just had the Antipasto Lasagna for dinner and it was so good! I made it this morning and wasn't sure how it was going to turn out because I used whole wheat lasagna noodles and didn't boil them. The noodles turned out great, the only problem I had was getting them to fit in the pan. I used Mendocino (I think that is the name) wild mushroom and garlic pasta sauce, which was really good. This lasagna has very bold flavors-especially from the roasted red bell peppers and calamata olives. This is my favorite CL lasagna recipe that I have tried!

Yes! I have made this a half a dozen times at least and have recently forgotten about it. I'll have to dig it up again. Browneye, November 1999 is the origin of this recipe.

Sorry I have to be the lone dissenter, here - I tried this after reading this review, and I was very disappointed. My husband and I gave it a 4 (out ot 10!).
I can't even tell you why I didn't like it exactly, except that it was too "processed" tasting, or canned, maybe, since everything came from a jar or a can. It also lacked cheese (in my opinion), as in ricotta or something substantial. Anyway, this was so far gone as not to be worth even trying to make better. On to the next tantalizing recipe.... http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif
