This sounds great my husband would also like to join he is not much of a cook but would like to be a part of the group. Should we wait to see if their are more people or make plains to all get together?

I'm surprised nobody else has posted. We thought this was a great idea! We saw the special on Food Network last night, of course. We had previously discussed the idea with friends - but nothing panned out back then, unfortunately. We're glad to see others in the area are interested now.

A little background information:
Heather's a teacher in Brooklyn
Brian's a computer programmer for a company in the city

We're still newly-weds (married less than two years); moved to Island Park a little over a year ago. Heather grew up nearby, but Brian's Brooklyn born and bred.

We're major foodies - always trying new recipes, new ingredients, seeking new tastes. And we both love to cook and share our creations with friends and family.

Hi, my name is Monica and I just watched that show on the food network. Do you guys have room for one more? Are you all doing this as couples? Unfortunately my husband works late, and hates to cook (but loves to eat),so it would be just myself. I live in Oceanside, used to live in Island Pk when I was first married. My husband grew up in Woodmere so I feel connected to all of you. I know where the Panty Diner is, but can't make it on Thursday.. I have back-to-school night for my two teenagers..... If I can still get involved, please let me know. I enjoy cooking, I can't say that I'm advanced, but I'm not a beginner either :rolleyes:

Hi everyone, it's Monica from Oceanside. Now I'm so sad I can't come on Thursday, but they'll kill me if I don't meet their teachers. But please keep me in mind for any other plans that you make. I'ts exciting that this group is growing. I told one of my girlfriends about it today and she said she would be my pretend husband. So let us know after the diner what the next step is. In all of the excitement on the prospect of joining in your cooking group we overlooked one very important factor - we're kosher and have a kosher kitchen. Unfortunately, this may create issues in our ability to either host of partake of future festivities. Sorry for the inconvenience that this may have caused.
