I'm not really sure what you mean about scewing in to the motor. On all the blenders I have used, the bottom screws into the glass jar, but then it just sits on the motor. And yes, it rocks a little--not a tight fit. I've never seen any other way.

OK, That's what I wanted to know if it was supposed to be a tight fit or if it rocks a little. The one I had before was a tight fit that's why I was a little concerned that this one isn't.

Mom, I just got a new blender too (a Cuisinart) and I know what you mean. The junky one that I had before screwed tightly into the base motor. In this new one, the bottom screws tightly onto the glass jar, but then when you rest it on the motor, it rocks slightly. I tried it for the first time a few days ago and it worked just fine. -Val

I bought a new Waring blender after reading many many reviews on which was the best and most trouble free. I do have an important question for anyone that owns one. The glass container fits loosely on the motor. In other words you can't screw it in. Is that the way it is supposed to be?
Thanks in advance for any help.
