Intro and Art from a Newbie

i'm new to this board, and so far i absolutely LOVE it! i thought i should introduce myself (if this is in the wrong place, let me know and i'll move it!).

i graduated college in 2004 and moved from wisconsin to new york. i currently work at the march of dimes as a graphic designer, and i love it! it's very rewarding to work for a company that does some good in the world.

i'm moving in a week to my first real home with my boyfriend of 5 1/2 years and our cat, jinx. i'm VERY excited to start decorating and to have my own space. we've been living in his parents' basement for over a year to save up money for a downpayment, and i think it's going to be really worth it, because it's hard to ever own something in NY if you have to pay rent.

my boyfriend, dino, is a musician, and i'm an artist. in our new place, we'll both have studios, so it should be a great time for me to work on my art. i have a website that shows my work and also lets people order custom portraits that i draw in adobe illustrator. check it out if you're interested! Angelina - i LOVE it out here! my boyfriend has lived here his whole life, so he has lots of friends out here, and i make 'em pretty quickly :)

SDMomChef - that's what makes it interesting! i'd rather people have their own opinions than just agreeing with everything they hear - it makes life more interesting!

Gilgamesh37 - i'm moving to Ossining - i just figured that since i signed up for the board 2 weeks before i was going to move that i wouldn't bother putting Hawthorne for my location ;)

colleency - thank you so much! my photo teacher didn't like that one because he didn't think it was as "meaningful" as some of my other work, but i just had to...definitely inspired by Amelie :D
