Dark all the way, baby! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

(And if you read dark over and over again it starts to look like a very strange word -- or not even a word....)

This has always been a debate at my house. I am the only one that likes milk. This is great for me though, no one eats my chocolate!!

ONLY dark. And the way I use to limit intake is to allow myself only really excellent chocolate, e.g., Belgian or other top-drawer European cocolate. (Oh, the devious means we use to keep the calorie intake within reasonable boundaries.)

I am a dark chocolate eater!

CL has a dark chocolate pudding recipe from a couple of years ago that is wonderful! I will post it if I can find it.

Hershey's makes Dark Chocolate Syrup that you can put on your ice cream or girl scout cookies, or whatever. YUMMY!

Dark Dark Dark Dark Dark Dark Dark

You are right, emily, that is a weird word. I often find words that seem strange when you think about them long enough. one of them I recently discoverd is picnic.

I laughed out loud when you said dark was a strange word. I thought I was alone in thinking about how some words are just plain weird.

Milk! I have little tolerance for bitter things.

But I love WHITE more than anything, even though I know it is not really chocolate!!!!

PS-- anyone ever had Leonidas chocolate? I bought some in Belgium to bring home and OH MY G-D. Never had anything like it, ever!!

I love both, however if pressed, I would choose Dark. When living in Europe a few years ago, I got addicted.

Dana, I too, love white chocolate -- (and I think it can be considered chocolate if it contains cocoa butter, which only the top-of-the-line makers do.)
Harry's had a sale on Lindt this weekend -- $1 a bar -- so I bought 3: 2 semisweet dark bars, and one white -- I'm gonna make them last as long as I can http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Dark chocolate is very safe in my house. I prefer milk chocolate, but I also love good white chocolate

As long as it is a "good quality chocolate" I will eat either one. There is nothing worse than a bad chocolate. My MIL always buys the cheap stuff and gives us 3 boxes of it. GROSS!! She's not a chocolate eater and I guess believes that quantity is better than quality. NO way - give me one bite of the good stuff over that "imitation" any day.

It's DARK for me any time over milk or white.

Another vote for DARK chocolate, however if you put Hazelnuts in with the Milk Chocolate it would be a tough choice!

Milk chocolate for me. It isn't very sophisticated, but there is nothing like a plain old Hershey's chocolate bar. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Dark for the most part, but every once in a while, a Hershey's kiss or bite of milk chocolate hits a certain spot. And milk chocolate belongs with certain things, like malt balls and dipped peanuts.

Milk, Dark it doesn't really matter as long as it's good quality http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

but as a side note, I can't really keep in the house, because no matter where it's stashed I can hear it calling me!

I don't like the taste of milk and do not like milk chocolate as well. I would say I prefer products made with plain cocoa powder (like cake, brownies, syrup, etc.). I can't stand anything too rich. To me, milk chocolate is richer than dark. Also, a heavy use of sugar with chocolate makes it too rich and unbearable.

IMPOSSIBLE DECISION!!! It's like one of those "no-win" questions - Which would you rather have: 5 million dollars and NO love in your life or the love of your life and not a penny, with no way of making any money???

I guess I'm greedy enough to want to BEST of all possible worlds, so I cast my vote for BOTH - depending on my mood! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

DARK chocolate covered carmels or raspberry from SEES!!! oh yeah

ANY chocolate is heavenly, but I'm a dark chocolate girl too.

My one chocolate aversion -- chocolate mixed with fruit. So no chocolate/orange, ocolate/raspberry, etc. combos for me. My two exceptions are chocolate covered cherries and chocolate-dipped strawberries. Sorry, buddie!

Milk chocolate straight up, dark chocolate on pretzels (and I do not mean those fakey "Flipz" things- how's that for a foodie snob comment?).

See's, ooohhh (Homer Simpson drooling sounds here).

Dark chocolate all the way for me, baby. Everyone at my wedding learned how much my husband and I love chocolate. Our cake was chocolate with chocolate ganache. Heaven. (And we get to eat the rest of it this weekend for our 1st anniversary--can't wait!)

Dark definately. And the more European (any country in Europe will do) the better.

DARK DARK DARK!!

I've always loved dark. This was great when I was little because while everyone else was fighting over the other 3 Hershey's Miniatures in the bag I got ALL the Special Darks for myself, no fighting involved! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

(BUT I'd RARELY turn down any kind of chocolate...except anything made with Mars or Cadburry chocolate. For some reason, both those brands give me an awful headache! ?? )

Have to throw in there my vote for ANYTHING See's dark chocolate! Yum! (Guess what I'm having as soon as I get home now?)
