Hello, all!

My boyfriend and I are going to Veni Vidi Vici for my birthday tomorrow night, and I wondered if any of you might have any recommendations for what's really excellent there. I'm too excited; I've been wanting to go here for the longest time -- I've even checked out the online menu http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif Thanks!

Emily

Emily-Yum!!!! We went for our anniversary. Of course, being that this was 6 months ago, I have all but forgotten what I ordered (that may be from the 4 glasses of wine, which I do remember!!). Let me call DH and see if he remembers.

Two hours later-How rude of me! I skimmed your message and didn't even see that you are having a birthday tomorrow. Happy Birthday!!!

This might be obvious, but the way I usually find out about the best dishes of a restaurant is to ask the waiters what his/her recommendations are. At nicer places they will usually be quite honest...if you are deciding between a couple of entrees, ask which one you should choose.

I'm not from Atlanta, so I can't help you out much with ordering suggestions, but I just thought it was neat that my birthday is tomorrow too!

Happy Birthday! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Well, I don't have any food advice either. I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Emily and Kristine! My birthday is this week also, so I'm partial to all of us "May Babies"! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Oh, thanks so much, y'all! What great graphics, too!

I'm always so excited when someone's birthday is on the same day as mine -- how neat!
Kristine, Happy Birthday to you fellow young'un http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif, and Wendy, to your sister, and Sue, to you too http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Thanks, Susann! Not to worry, though; I didn't even think twice about it. How rude of me to advertise that my birthday's tomorrow so that I could acquire all these neat graphics http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Happy Birthday everyone!

Emily, you know that VVV is a Buckhead Life Restaurant so you are sure to be pleased with whatever you order.

Have a great time! Let us know all about it!

PS) Have you been to the Fish Market or Nava? Those are my 2 favorite Buckhead Life Restaurants.

Emily - My SIL taught me this trick when going to an established restaurant. Order the specials - the chef is usually more excited about the specials, they usually use the freshest ingredients, and more interest from the chef means better dishes. It's always worked for me and I love trying new things. Have a very Happy Birthday! Heather
