This morning DH and I walked a 6-mile trail. When I got home, I took off my socks before taking a shower and one of them was bright red and very bloody! One of my toes had hurt slightly while on the hike but I didn't think much of it. Turns out, I had a small cut on the side of one of my toes and it started bleeding while I was walking. Nothing too traumatic but pulling off a half bloody sock can be a bit of a shock!
Anyone else fit in some exercise today?

Ouch! I'm glad the cut didn't turn out to be too bad, but know the feeling of pulling off a sock after a hike and going "What the heck??" Not fun!
Today I did about 50 minutes on the elliptical trainer and read a fascinating issue of Canadian Geographic while I did so :)

I did the Friday evening Extreme Body class. I got in some extra cardio between sets because I kept running back and forth to the only tv airing the Red Sox/White Sox game. It didn't help. The Red Sox put up their batting gear and gloves tonight. Maybe next year. <sigh>
Natasha, is Canadian Geographic anything like National Geographic??? I know I couldn't do the elliptical for 50 minutes while reading that magazine!
Peggy...I would have been panicked until I figured out what caused the blood. I'm glad it wasn't anything major.
Anyone else?

Melanie, sorry to hear about the Sox :( I know you're a big fan.
Canadian Geographic is not quite like N.G. - it's not as dense a read, IIRC (haven't read N.G. in a while). It has anecdotes and longer articles about various regions and historical things to do with Canada, and also book reviews and the like. Loving history AND geography (and Canadiana), I find it really interesting, and some of the pictures are awe-inspiring. I keep wondering if I should subscribe and not getting around to it, so when I find it at the gym I enjoy it to the hilt :D

Good job, ladies.
Peggy, isn't it weird how you can bleed so much and not even feel it at the time? I like to gross out DH by showing him the bloody sock.
I did the ellyptical for 45 minutes in the a.m., and then went to Stacked and Pumped (weights class) at noon.
Have a good weekend, all!
