I'm thinking of buying the KitchenAid Professional 670 food processor. Does anyone have it and what do you think of it? Opinions of other food processors also welcome. At cooking.com it's offered for $239.95 and you get a free KA 7-in. Nonstick Omelette Pan (a $70 value) and a $20 Rebate Check.

I have a Kitchen Aid food processor and love it. I am not sure what model I have but it is a couple of years old. You won't regret it if you buy it!

Linda, I too have one. I am not sure if it is the same model as you are referring to here, but it must be similar. I love the fact that it has 2 bowls so that you can do 2 jobs without cleaning the bowl. Also, for my wedding I received the entire Kitchenaid line, the FP, the blender and yes, the beautiful mixer. However, I have only used the FB and I cook/bake a lot. I even use the FB for mixing cake batters, etc. that I would have used the mixer for. I just use the dull blade for this. Kitchenaid also has an excellent reputation and customer service, so if anything ever went wrong, I would not hesistate to contact them.

Not sure if this is the same one, but a local store in PA is advertising a 11-cup KA with the skillet by mail and $20 rebate for 199.99 on sale. It was at "The Bon-Ton". Plus, they have an extra 10% off coupon this is from May 23 to 26th. I'd check around locally in department stores before ordering on line for $40 more.

Linda, I have the KitchenAid UltraPower 600 watt. I love mine, even though I don't use it as often as I could.

Just got back from the gym and thought I would let you know that the June issue of Bon Appetit has a review of the food processor you mentioned. It basically compares it to Cusinart food processors. It is a very positive review. I think you would be pleased with it. You may want to check out the issue! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Thanks everybody! I am strongly leaning towards buying it.

funnybone, I would love to be able to shop around locally, but the nearest mall/dept. store is 60 miles away! I did however find it online for $200, but I'm not as thrilled with that website's return policy and I would also have to pay $20 shipping (the other site has free shipping). So I called cooking.com to see if they would match prices and they gave me an address so I could submit the info. We will see what happens.

Thanks again!

I just was channel surfing and caught the tail end of QVC -they had Kitchen Aid products, including the 11 cup food processor for $188.78 and the professional for $219. They mentioned the rebate too. Here is a link in case you want to check it out. I wouldn't drive 60 miles to a mall either - you wouldn't save money in time, thats for sure.

Thanks funnybone! Looks like we might end up going out of town this weekend to go shopping, so I will see if I can find a good sale. We want to buy a gas grill for our anniversary, too.
