I have a question for anyone who has searched for replacement parts. I bought an unused Westbend wok today for $ 2.00 at an estate shop. I didn't have the electrical cord so I figured I would just order it at Westbend. Unfortunately, the item is discontinued and they have no replacements. I also tried smallappliances.com with no luck. So it turns out my 2 dollar bargain was no bargain at all :o
Does anyone have any ideas before I pitch the wok in the trash?
Thanks in advance,
Sherri

Do you have a Mar-bek store in your area? They sell small appliances and parts, and also repair them. They could probably tell you if there is another cord that will work. When my food processor blade broke, they could tell me that the model I had was no longer made and there were no other blades that would fit it. Might be worth checking your yellow pages. Good luck!

Hi Kathy,
I don't know if I have that store nearby, but I will check and see, thanks so much for your reply!

I don't have an url but I was looking for a remote for an old TV and googled and found a place that sold lots of replacement components. It was on-line.
That said, you might not want to invest too much time or money in finding a cord. Based on reviews from Cooks Illustrated, electric woks really don't provide a great end product -- evidently they don't heat up high enough. I don't have personal experience with them though. :p
