I cannot believe it because I have known about Bread and Circus forever but just haven't shopped there.
Today since out weather is still inclement in Western Mass I decided to go to the Bread and Circus in Amherst, which is just about 20 miles from me. It may have been a big mistake. I spent a fortune but they have everything I have heard about on the BB and haven't been able to find anywhere else.
I found Pirate's Booty (haven't tried it yet}
Kwormann (KIM) I found the Drunken goat's cheese and bought 4 big chunks of it and had it for lunch with sour dough bread. Just great....looks like you will not have to put up with me in Houston.
And I found the SchaffenBerger chocolate and bought their bittersweet and semi-sweet and their cocoa. Now I will do my own testing for the best brownies in the world. I don't know how many recipes I will have to try. I guess until I get my fill of chocolate and that may take forever.

Maiseyoats, I have to say that I have never heard of Bread and Circus. Is there one in Connecticut?

Bread & Circus is fabulous store! My folks live near one in Bedford, MA and I can usually count on them to have unusual ingredients I am looking for. Not cheap, however. I have only ever seen them in Mass but I think that they are owned by Whole Foods which is a more national chain.(I could be wrong about that though!)

Jazzcat,
They are in Connecticut. You will absolutely love this place but fair warning take lots of money.
Besides all my non-light goodies I did get some produce. They have a huge amount of organic foods and all the veggies looked so fresh.
They had a big wine department but I didn't have any money left to look there.

Thanks for the website info however the page could not be displayed. Oh well, I guess I'll be saving my money until I can find out where the store is. I wanted that Goat cheese

Yay, mom! you posted a URL that works. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

Jazzcat, the link does work. maybe you caught it at an off time. The only store in CT is in Greenwich (unfortunately, since I am way up in Vernon).
