Anyone watch the new show on Food TV? What were your opinions? I enjoyed watching it.

My boys watched that tonight - they loved the chocloate/raspberry parfait. I just might have to make that someday soon. :) It looks like a show I'll watch again.

I watched it and thought it was a pretty cool show, being about desserts and all. :) But you could tell Warren Brown was hosting his first show, as he was a little stiff and sounded like he was reading off a teleprompter. I know he'll loosen up in a few episodes, though, and he came across much more relaxed in the segments with the other pastry chefs than he did when he was making the parfait. And BOY was I drooling over that cake at the end -- the one with the chocolate layers all cut up and arranged with the other chocolate pieces sticking out! Looked so cool and so yummy!

I thought someone would post about the show. I really enjoyed it! The whole show had very inventive ideas, loved the firecracker cake. I was drooling at the chocolate layer at the end of the episode too! Warren was a bit stiff, but I agree, he'll loosen up. Overall, great show.

I have been looking forward to this show all month. Yes, Warren was a little stiff, but I think he will loosen up and be a top host. I am soooo glad to see some new blood on FoodNetwork - I'm rather tired of seeing so much of the same people and countless re-runs.

AMEN to that! I stopped watching when it seemed 50-75% of the shows were Emeril, and I only go back occassionally now. They seem to be trying to attract more viewerd by broadening their horizons, but it's the more food creation oriented shows that I want to watch, so I'm glad to see something new and truly foodie. I missed the show, but will try to catch it later.
