Once opened, how long does a can of evaporated milk stay fresh in the fridge?

Good question! I think I have put it in a tupperware container and kept it up to a week in the refrigerator. I always do the sniff test and am still alive to tell this! :) Perhaps someone else will ahve a more scientific answer for you.

I've kept open cans in the refrigerator, covered, a couple of weeks - sniff test definitely. Because it's been heated it seems to last awhile. I've whipped the fat free into a frothy substitute for whipped cream. Not as good as the real thing but not bad.
