This was the first ice cream we made in our new ice cream maker. It is very creamy but it does have the yogurty taste and so it reminded me more of very good frozen yogurt (not the soft-serve kind). I did add more ginger but the ginger flavor is very faint. Also, the ginger makes it a bit brown--not lemon yellow. I might make this again and just skip the ginger and have lemon ice cream. Very good with Double-Ginger Cookies (May '01).
Also, I think this recipe would work with peach or other yogurt flavors.
