Did anyone try this? I don't prepare beef often and I would hate to be disappointed.

This one looks so good to me. I will be trying it this week sometime. I'll post a review when I do! I would love to hear a review too, if anyone else has already made this!

I've got this marinating in the fridge right now - it looks AWESOME!! Particularly because I used a really nice Riesling.

But my question is, has anyone else tried this? If this tastes as good as I think it will, I will be making this OFTEN!

Ok, my last post on this....then it can fade off into the BB black hole....

We give this a 7.5. I am a bit disappointed, only because I had HUGE expectations for it. Sauerbraten is one of my all time favorite foods, and I was sure by looking at the recipe that this would taste very similar. Well it was similar, but very, very mild in comparison. I won't say it was bland, but it was VERY mild (bordered on bland!). I think I want to look up a sauerbraten recipe and see what the difference is (is there some magic ingredient that adds all the flavor?). I would make this again, assuming I could modify it to give it more "punch". Other than that, I liked it very much, and it was relatively easy, albeit time consuming with the marinating and occasional stirring.
