Yummy Oatmeal Cookies

I was at my mom's and made some oatmeal cookies. She did not have any vanilla extract, but she did have some Vanilla Butter & Nut extract made by McCormick. I used that instead. The cookies were so yummy. That extract just added a different flavor that was delicious. My mom says this extract also makes wonderful frosting -- regular butter cream vanilla frosting made with this extract instead of vanilla, then mix in coconut and toasted pecans.

I had to laugh because that was my thought as well. I have about 3 bottles around - one that I just received from Penzey's actually. But then again, my panty looks like a grocery store.

However, we should not judge - how do we know that woodsl's mom didn't just run out the day before.
