Ok, I have no experience with cooking a large amount of any meat and I have this recipe I want to use. It calls for a 4.5 to 5lb. pork loin and says to cook it for about an hour and a half. The one I'm using is only 1.5lbs. How long should I cook it for?

The internal temperature of the meat should be 160º. And that is really the only way to be sure it is done.

I just looked at a couple of pork loin recipes and for a 2# roast it is cooked for 1 hour and 40 minutes at 325º. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I ended up cooking it for an hour and 20 minutes and it turned out fine. I don't have a thermometer, which I guess I should get it I want to cook something like this again.

I cooked a pork loin (about 4lbs) on low for 2 hrs. on the grill last week. I made a little foil pan to go underneath for fat drippings and spinkled it with my Emerial seasonings. It turned out really good and I didn't heat up my kitchen.
