This wasnt very expensive by most people's standards, but was more than we usually spend. It is a wine from Nappa Valley. We really enjoyed it. It was crisp and dry and went great with crusty sourdough, leftover crab bisque and raspberries http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif
I think we paid 13.00 for it, at a large liquor warehouse here in Houston (Specs), so it probably would be slightly more elsewhere. If you like dry white wines, I recommend it!

Oh, Kim....thank you! I am starting to enjoy Reislings. I like the little sweetness versus the dry whites. I will write this down and look for it at the store the next time. I just picked up a bottle of Firestone Vineyard Central Coast which is good. Also bought Robert Mondavi Coastal Johannisberg Reisling. Not sure how Robert Mondavi will taste, but I visited their vineyard some years ago while in Napa Valley and have tasted their other wines. Don't tell Gail or Natasha, but I think I might be turning into a wineo! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif
Kim, have you used Reislings in your cooking? Once I open a bottle it sits around for a while and I tend to use it in cooking too. I will have to buy one of those vacumn stoppers.
Came back to edit and reread your post. Stupid me didn't see the "dry" part. I will still try this one even though it is on the dry side. Thanks again. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Well Sue, a bottle doesnt usually last long enough around here to become cooking wine....it is usually gone within 3 days http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif (Ill join the wineo list proudly!)
