Hi all!
Some wonderful co-workers helped me move in to my new place last week and I'm having them over for dinner this Sunday as a "thank you." I've never cooked for any of them before so I want to make sure to make T&T yummy recipes that impress!
I've nailed down the whole menu except for the 1st course. I was thinking some sort of salad but I suppose I could do a not-too-heavy appetizer instead. It's a pretty heavy dinner, though, so I was leaning toward salad. My normal salad is just mixed greens with toasted pine nuts, cherry tomatoes, maybe some cucumber and a homemade balsamic vinaigrette. But there's balsamic in the side dish and I thought that might be overkill.
Current menu:
Beer and wine
Undetermined first course
Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy (foodtv.com, one of my favorite recipes of all time!)
Garlic mashed potatoes
Roasted asparagus with balsamic browned butter (CL)
Banana pudding (Paula Deen)
TIA!!!
