Fashion advice please!!!

I have to agree, the raspberry one is probably my least favorite, nor the lilac one. I think the red and 2 sage ones are the best. If I had to pick one though, I'd pick the first sage top.

I like the first two...the other three (sage and raspberry) seem a little heavy to me (too much fabric). And if you will be running around it might get quite warm.

That's too funny! :D If it had been the only top you had shown, I would have thought it was fine. But amongst the other choices, I definitely rank it last. But since you'll be going to the mall to try things on, the most important thing is whether it looks good on you and YOU like it!

I'm never hot the problem is that I'm ALWAYS freezing. So, long sleeves and extra fabric are actually good things for me, lol.

I don't like either of the sage ones (for a party, anyway). Way too boring and flat (colorwise) for a festive party. I'm not wild about the raspberry either. Also boring. I think either of the first two are far more festive and exciting.

I'm the lone dissenter here, but I really like the raspberry one! But I think the lilac might be my favorite.

I vote for either the red (since you can wear it for the holidays as well and look festive) or either sage

The lilac is my favorite, followed by the raspberry. I wish I had the figure to wear shirts cut like that - I certainly couldn't fill them out as shown in the photos! :)

They are all nice but it would depend on the line of your pants and your body shape as to which would work best. Some of the tops seem to have flowing lines which would look bulky if your pants weren't slim.

The sage surplice is probably the most classic look if that matters as the others are very boho trendy -- not that there is anything wrong with that.

However, they are all lovely and appropriate and work with black -- the final decision is which one works with the pants and your figure.

my favorite is the red. i like the styles on the sage one but the color is not the best unless you are a fabulous red head in which case it would be perfect!

Personally, I don't see the sage working with black. I like the lilac best, followed by the raspberry, then the red. As others have said, it depends on your coloring. Very likely, if the raspberry looks great on you, the sage wouldn't, but the lilac and red might. Not everyone can wear that shade or purple (lilac), either. You'll just have to put them next to your face and see!

I love the lilac. They're all beautiful choices, but some of the others look a bit heavy to me. I like the flower detail on the lilac one - it adds a little dazzle to it :)

Well the determining factor ended up being what styles they actually had in the store. :rolleyes: Oh and the Lilac looked pukey on me - color just wasn't right - I'm a brunette with very pale skin and it just looked awful. I ended up with this in black (http://www.anthropologie.com/jump.jsp?itemID=8974&itemType=PRODUCT&iSubCat=276&iMainCat=9)

Then I found this really great deep amethyst satin/silk wrap shirt at another store (Janeville) which was gorgeous! So I'm wearing the black one tonight and the dressier satin at our holiday party in 3 weeks.

I liked all your choices but funnily enough I was thinking "these are all nice but they don't have that martini "hostessy" vibe to them. but your final choice does!
