DGD got tree sap all over a dress. The dress is made of 88% polyster and 12% spandex, with nylon flocking. The dress is machine washable, but needs to be laid flat to dry. How would you get the sap out?
I'd try soaking it first, but I would try goo gone on what doesn't come out with water. Good gone works best on dry fabric and can leave an oily spot on some fabrics. Another route you could try would be soaking in oxyclean, but I'm not sure if that would break it down.

This is weird, but it absolutely works: smear the tree sap with peanut butter, then wash as normal. It will come right out.
