This is my first post - on my way!!!
Our cooking group is a little behind in issues, but met last night and had the Asian Peanut Dip. Am I the only one that was disappointed? Did anyone else try this? It just tasted like expensive pb to me.

Welcome Debie,

Just so you know, weekends are usually pretty slow around here and a lot of the regulars disappear. So, if you don't get too many responses for a few days, that may be why.

Although I personally haven't tried this recipe, I ran a search for you (usually a good way to get fast information by clicking "search" next to the FAQ upper right hand corner) and came up with a couple of threads on the subject. Sounds like not too many tried this particular dish so far, but here you go until next week comes: http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/Forum1/HTML/006747.html http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/Forum1/HTML/007393.html

Welcome, Debie. You will soon be addicted to the BB like the rest of us. I've made the Peanut Dip twice now and have gotten rave reviews. I have some in the fridge right now. I think it's much tastier than peanut butter, and the added nutrition from the tofu doesn't hurt. I served it on Mother's Day and it was so quick to put together. I put out cucumbers, carrots, celery (my fave) and sesame crackers.

I am going to try this recipe again, someone else made it for our cooking group. If I try it maybe I can jazz it up a little, or maybe something was missing. The girl who made it also said that she had tripled the recipe so she could have some at home so maybe that dilluted it a bit. I am going to get addicted to this BB, I think, I spent a couple of hours here last night oy vay!

Yes, addiction to the BB is inevitable. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I had doubled this recipe, and it was fine. I don't know about tripling, but I would definitely try it again on your own and make a single or double recipe. I still have leftovers!
