Any Chinese food cooks out there?
The local Chinese restaurant used to put these out on the tables to munch on before the main order arrived. It was a sweetened delicate white vinegar based (? - not tart nor tangy; maybe rice vinegar) crunchy vegetable medley of carrot slices, Chinese radish (Daikon), and I can’t remember much else – maybe celery.
It was as addictive as potato chips.
I found a recipe here (http://www.recipecottage.com/preserving/pickled-veggies04.html) that looks like what I was served, but wanted to know if any BBr has made anything similar.
TIA
