FYI: I recently purchased 2 of Martha Stewarts stainless steel mixing bowls (at Kmart)and they are excellent. Very heavy duty stainless steel, and clean great. For the price ( 12.99 for a 4.5 QT, and 9.99 for the medium (I don't remember the capacity), I am very pleased.

This is slightly off the topic but I am wondering what you all think of MS pots and pans. Are they worth buying. I want All-Clad of course but.....

kima....I also have her 12" skillet with long handle and small carry handle on the other side. A very heavy pan which will distribute the heat evenly. The only thing is that it didn't come with a cover, but other than that I really like it. I have a glass cover that came with a cheap non-stick skillet that I threw out and it fits perfectly.

kima: Although, I do not have any of her cookware ( I do have 2 pcs of bakeware, and they are also excellent.) I have looked at her cookware and it seems to be the same consistent quality.
I have a 2 qt ALL Clad stainless saucepan and I love it. ( I am seriously considering, driving up to that ALL Clad sale that LynnB spoke of, next weekend.) Recently, I was looking for a LARGE saucepan, and wanted to buy ALL Clad but did not want to spend the $100+ or so, and ended up buying a Revere Ware reenforced bottom pan at the outlet store, and it is excellent ! I am very pleased with it. (Only the reenforced bottom though, the others looked rather thin.)

kima,

I have All-Clad, but my friend has the MS "Tri-Ply" cookware. Believe me, it is NICE stuff! Totally compares to All-Clad, IMHO! Martha was really doing a knock off there, I tell you!!! But ONLY the tri-ply is the All-Clad wannabee http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif -- not the other lines.

Lynn

BTW, JLS, I don't think you will be sorry if you go to the All-Clad sale!!! Have you seen the Copper Core All-Clad?!!! OHMYWORD... breathtaking!!!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
